How to get to EDC in Mexico City
There are several ways to get to the festival. We recommend planning ahead and considering Mexico City traffic to move around stress-free.
1. Metro & Metrobús. The closest Metro stations on Line 9 are Velódromo, Ciudad Deportiva and Puebla. For Metrobús, UPIICSA and El Rodeo stations on Line 2 are the best options.
2. Taxi, Uber, or Didi. If you’re using a ride-hailing app or taxi, make sure to leave early-access points tend to get crowded during peak hours.
3. Official shuttles. The event usually offers official shuttles with designated routes and stops. You can book them through the EDC website.
4. Driving. According to the official EDC site, parking will be available at Gate 15 of the Autódromo and the Palacio de los Deportes parking lots will also be open, both at an additional cost.
5. Complimentary transportation. When staying at Krystal Urban® Mexico City Airport, transportation to the event is included. We’ll also pick you up when the festival ends, so you don’t have to worry about anything.
How to make the most of EDC
1. Plan the artists you want to see. Check the lineup carefully and mark your must-see acts, but leave room for improvisation, some of the best discoveries happen that way.
2. Arrive early. It’s always better to have extra time for entry and security checks than to rush to a stage.
3. Take breaks. Staying hydrated and eating well makes all the difference.
4. Bring a portable charger. Photos and videos drain your battery fast; extra power is a lifesaver.
5. Wear a comfortable outfit. Make your look festival-ready but practical: comfy shoes, sunglasses and a light jacket.
6. Your hotel is your “backstage”. A good hotel isn’t a luxury, it’s essential for resting, recharging and enjoying the festival to the fullest.
